Betty Jo (Boston) Fallis, born May 19, 1933, to Glenn Harvey and Ruby Sylvia Jane (McBee) Boston in Hinton, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 91. Betty graduated from Watonga High School and attended the University of Oklahoma. She lived in Tulsa, where she worked as a secretary in the oil and gas industry, before moving to Oklahoma City, where she was employed by DHS as a Production Control Supervisor. Her colleagues affectionately called her the Mother of Production Control. On September 14, 1964, Betty married Bob Fallis in Gainesville, Texas. They shared many years together before his passing on June 3, 2022. Betty enjoyed crocheting, making quilts, and visiting casinos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Ruby Boston; her husband, Bob Fallis; her son, Mitchell Joe McFarlin; and one great-grandson, Uriah McFarlin
Betty is survived by her three children: Steve McFarlin and wife Jantha of Tulsa, Terry Lee Fallis of Tulsa, and Susan Jane Sadler of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren: Macy McFarlin of Taylor, Texas; Kelsey Woods of Ovilla, Texas; Stephanie Aitken, John McFarlin, Andrew McFarlin, Melanie McGarry, and Madison Fallis, all of Tulsa; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Hinton Cemetery in Hinton, Oklahoma.
Betty will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Services are under the direction of Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, OK.
