Obituary written and provided by Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, OK.
Juan Emiliano Infante Saenz, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at his home in Hydro, OK at the age of 49. Born on September 1, 1975, in Tula Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Elvira Saenz. Juan was raised by his aunt Celia Tovar. Juan dedicated much of his early life working alongside his aunt in their convenience store before making the journey to the United States at the age of 17.
He spent several years working with his brothers before moving to Hydro, Oklahoma, where he lived for the past 23 years. Juan was a hardworking rancher and farmer who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved cooking, fishing, hunting, boating, and dancing, but most of all, he cherished time with his “family” whether they were blood related or not. He was known for restoring old cars and trucks, building things with his hands, and his passion for gardening. He would always share his homegrown vegetables with the people he loved.
Each year, he would take pride in creating the Wagon Wheel Mound Christmas lights display. His guacamole was legendary, and he was always eager to share it with loved ones. Above all, Juan had a heart of gold, always ready to lend a hand and offer help to those in need. His warmth and kindness were felt by everyone he encountered, and he was a best friend and grandpa to all.
Juan is survived by his two children, Elvira Infante, and her daughter, Acea Savage, and her mother, Maria Guadalupe Martinez all of Little Rock, Arkansas, and John Saenz of the farm in Hydro and his mother, Brandy Carnell of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by his siblings, Carlos Saenz, Hipalito Tovar, Julian Montoya, Melania Perez, Maria Perez, and Michael Carnell, along with a host of other close friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Leo Tovar.
Juan’s legacy of love, kindness, and hard work will forever be remembered, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
